My experience:

I have received this body scrub in my January Vellvette box. I mentioned in my post here that I really wanted this scrub when I saw so many people getting this scrub. The main reasons for wanting this scrub were – firstly I have never tried a chocolate scented bath product! And secondly, I wanted the cute tin box it came in 😛

The scrub retails for Rs.950/- for 200gm which I think is quite high a price for a scrub. But maybe it’s worth the price? Let’s find out!

Talking about the packaging first, the tin box is beyond adorable 🙂 I am in love with the box and using up the scrub fasttt to get the empty box and then re-use it 😛

When I opened the scrub for the first time, a very strong scent hit my nose. And it was not at all a scent I expected. I had very high expections and I expected a delicious rich chocolate scent, boy was I disappointed! The scent to me is nothing like that and it’s too sweet for my liking.

The sugar granules in the scrub are so big that the it’s kindof impossible to rub the scrub on skin properly. What I mean, is that the sugar granules just keep falling down making it difficult to use as a whole.

Once I have managed to scrub myself with this somehow, my skin does feel exfoliated(du-uh!). With the presence of so many oils in the scrub, it’s also good at moisturizing and makes skin feel soft, but nothing extraordinary. I can get the same results with home made scrubs made out of raw kitchen ingredients.

The one thing I was happy about is that it has nothing in it that can harm my skin. Ingredients are natural and beneficial.

So, overall this is definitely not worth the price, but I am happy I got the cute tin 😛

Overall, I would not purchase the full sized scrub neither would I recommend this to anyone. There a lot better scrubs available in the market or just make your own scrub, it’ll turn out better!

Why you’ll like it:

1)     It comes in a super cute tin box!

2)     You might like the fragrance.

3)     Has moisturizing properties – with the presence of shea butter, jojoba oil etc.

4)     Has a lot of good natural ingredients.

Why you’ll dislike it:

1)     Expensive.

2)     Sugar granules are too big.

3)     Not so convenient to use.

4)     Does not anything exceptional.

To buy or not to buy?

Not buy!

My rating:

Umm…. 4/10 … for the tin and the natural ingredients.
