My experience:

I got this lip gloss duo as a part of my November Vellvette Box. Yes, I am on a Vellvette-Box-Products-reviewing spree. 😛 Many more are on their way 😛

This lip gloss individually retail for Rs.1300/-.

The duo that I have is very well packaged. It comes in a simple plastic tube with different shades on both ends, each with their own wand applicator. The tube is leak proof and travel friendly. I’ve thrown it in my bag so many times and it has never caused me any trouble.

The applicator of the lip gloss is very effective and convenient. It takes decent amount of product each time and it’s quite easy to use the applicator.

The texture of both the shades is same. On applying a single layer on the lips, it feels totally weightless on the lips. I love this part! I don’t feel anything on my lips on wearing this! If you layer it a lot, then it does get quite sticky but still not too uncomfortable. And since it claims to be long lasting, it has to be somewhat sticky but it’s not at all the uncomfortable kindof sticky! Hope you get what I mean:P

Since these are meant to be long lasting, they kindof have to be sticky, no? but still I fell the formula is very comfortable to wear and much better than so many other lip glosses in the market! The long lasting claim is quite true I feel, the stay on the lips for 4-5 hours easily without meals which is quite good for a gloss!

Talking about the two shades, the shade Air Kiss – looks like a peachy shade in the tube, but on the lips it translates as a sheer gloss with a lot of shine. It’s a very wearable shade and can be worn even on a daily basis.

And Kissyfit looks very bright in the tube but since these glosses are sheer by nature, on the lips it gives a more or less pink tint with a lot of shine. It won’t cover pigmented lips too well. But it looks very pretty and I love this shade:)

The swatches I’ve shown here are just 1 swipe of the lip gloss.

Another benefit – these contain SPF.

Overall, Clinique long last lip gloss is a very good quality lip gloss. It is very comfortable to wear and has very pretty shades. It lives up to its claims of being long lasting. It is quite expensive so if your budget allows you, then it’s a great lip gloss!

Why you’ll like it:

1)     Lovely colours.

2)     Convenient and travel friendly packaging.

3)     Good applicator.

4)     Good staying power.

5)     Feels weightless on lips.

6)     Contains SPF.

Why you’ll dislike it:

1)     Availability.

2)     Expensive.

3)     A little sticky.

To buy or not to buy?

Buy – if you can splurge on such an expensive lip gloss, nothing to worry about the quality!!

My rating:

8/10 – for being so expensive!
