I am a huge sucker for mud masks. I have had oily- combination skin most of my life and I love using clarifying mud masks to balance out my skin. This mask by Glamglow had been on my wishlist since ages and I finally purchased it about 2 months back. And this is what I think of it so far.
This mask comes in a small jar sealed by aluminum foil. It’s simple to use with your fingers or a small spatula. It’s a dark grey charcoal-ish thick mask. It goes on quite smoothly on skin and starts drying up after application. I applied a thin layer and waited for around 15-20 minutes till it dried completely.
It has a lot of tall claims and good ingredients promising to make your skin get better. It has a lot of natural ingredients in it which makes it more appealing.
For me, it has definitely made my skin feel a lottt better. The first and best thing I noticed was that it made a huge difference to the pores and blackheads on my nose. The blackheads are almost gone and pores look much smaller. After the mask dried on my face, I could see tiny black dots all around my face, which actually were chunks that had been sucked out of my pores by the mask. It really cleans out skin and all the pores.
It has also balanced out the oily texture. Another thing I loved was that alongwith controlling the oil, many mud masks can make skin very dry, but this mask left my skin very soft and supple. It didn’t feel dry at all, it felt healthy and well nourished. So, it’s also great for normal to dry skin. My face felt brighter immediately after its use and has overall improved my skin texture very noticeably. I use it once in 1 week or in 2 weeks. it has become my go-to spa night mask.
I am absolutely in love with this mask!! And highly recommend you all to try it!
It’s a line initially created for Hollywood artists and is now widely available for everyone. It is very expensive, priced at $69 for a 30ml jar. It is available on Sephora or you can even shop from Amazon. There is a lot of hype surrounding it and I feel you would know only after using it as every one’s skin is different and this might not be loved by everyone. For me, it worked really good and I found it worth my money! But, I would be on the look-out for a cheaper alternative and I’ll update you guys then.
