Hello everyone! How’re you all?
I promised you all on Facebook, that I would start being regular on the blog from this week and here I am 😀 you follow me there don’t you? If you don’t you can follow here.
I had a lot of work this week and when I came home in the evening, all tired and exhausted eager to hit my bed and sleep till morning, and the concierge of my building tells me I have a package. I didn’t expect it to be the GLOSSYBOX!!!!
Eid Mubaarak to all of you! 🙂 how are you celebrating Eid? We have very close family friends who are Muslim and throw a huge party for Eid everytime and sadly we couldn’t go this time and aahh.. I’m already missing the chicken biryani 😦
I know I’ve been very inactive of late and so sorry I haven’t been able to reply to all comments. I’ll be even more inactive next week onwards; I have a few posts timed for publishing in my drafts but I didn’t want to miss the Five Friday Favourites and here I am 😀
So, first up is The Body Shop Coconut Hair oil ~ my hair is going through a very bad phase; the rain is making it even frizzier and worse! 😦 this oil is giving my hair all the extra love it needs! Initially I had a lot of samples of this oil but I finally purchased the full bottle last week and I’m loving this oil much more than my normal hair oil!
Revlon lip butter in Sorbet ~ I really really love Revlon lip butters and this new shade is a gorgeous bright pink. It really makes my face look very bright and pretty! Love!
The Body Shop Vanilla body mist ~ I have always had a soft spot for all things vanilla and recently this mist has made a comeback in my favourite scents! I just wish it were travel friendly! Full review here.
MAC Technakohl Graphblack ~ I had this on my wishlist forever as I’d read amazing reviews for its good staying power on the waterline and I’m someone who’s always on the lookout for something that stays long on my waterline. Though my all time favourite for the waterline is the Lakme kohl ultimate but I’m loving this one at the moment!
Lakme CC Cream ~ this gives a good natural semi-matte finish and reduces redness very well! I’m definitely enjoying using this a lot!
So, that’s it for this week!
I would love to know your favourites so do share them in the comments below! 🙂
See you! Have a great weekend!
Colorbar iglide eye pencil.
According to Colorbar,
Defines like a pencil and glides like liquid eyeliner. This effortlessly easy to use I-Glide Eye Pencil with its smooth formulation, gives your eyes rich colour in a single stroke and blends in easily after application. Lasts longer than 8 hours; does not feather or bleed.
Price: INR450 for 1.1g.
Available at all Colorbar outlets, stores and most online stores.
Colorbar iglides are my favourite eyeliners 🙂 and this shade particularly is one of my all time favourite shades too. It’s not such a daily wear shade and is especially great for parties.
I hate how Colorbar keeps increasing their prices. I had bought all my 4 iglides in those golden days when these were priced below Rs.350! now, I definitely hesitate in buying another because these are no more in the more affordable bracket in the market. But still, believe me, once you try these, you wont feel like going to any other pencil!
Hello everyone 🙂
I got my Vellvette box bag quite late this time too, I just received it this morning.
Firstly, the delay in receiving it curbed my excitement a lot.
Plus, I had very high expectations from the box bag this time as I loved what others had got. But what I actually got didn’t really meet my expectations.
Hello everyone 🙂
Here we go with another long pending post from my drafts!
These days all girls want to look their best and simple makeup just helps them achieve the right look. But not everyone can afford high-end makeup, and that shouldn’t discourage anyone as these days there is a plethora of good-quality options out there in the market at various prices!
Happy Monday!!! I’m at home today and having a perfect lazy morning 😛 it feels even better when I know everyone else is starting their week Haha 😀
So yesterday after around 6-7 months I went out with my parents and sister, because my sis had her board exams and they’re over now 😀
Lakme eyeconic kajal.
According to Lakme,
The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakmé is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it doesn’t smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested. The Eyeconic kajal and mascara by Lakmé forms the perfect combination in creating a look that is sure to get you noticed! You can now transform your look from drab to fab with just a little kajal and a hint of some mascara.
Price: INR 199/-
Available at Lakme counters, most general stores, online stores.
I had bought this kajal 2 months back but got around to using it regularly just since the last 2 weeks. And to be honest I did not have any expectations from this since it’s similar to Maybelline Colossal and I had never liked that one but I am in love with Eyeconic 😀
I have never really liked retractable/twist up pencils. I like the traditional sharpenable pencils mainly because they’re more hygienic and I can apply as much pressure on them without breaking unlike retractable pencils. Now Lakme eyeconic has changed my view, I guess my bad experiences with retractable pencils were just because I chose the wrong pencils in the past. But for me, they were always prone to breakage, tugged on my eye and became blunt after a few usages. Eyconic is none of these!
I had got two of these eye sparklers when they were launched. At that time I only owned one coloured liner, from Revlon and I was very excited for these as the price is extremely pocket-friendly. These cute little pencils retail for Rs.85/- and are available in 5 shades as far as I know – blue blast, gun powder, purple pataka, silver sparkle and green grenade.
I am reviewing Blue Blast and Gun Powder for you all.
I had bought these Colorlab liquid eyeliners more than 2 years back. At that time I had never used any liquid eyeliner and for a cousin’s wedding, I bought these pocket friendly eyeliners. They come in a lot of shades and are packaged like a nail paint.
These liquid eyeliners used to retail for INR50-60 when I had bought them 2 years back.
The brush is very thin and good for making thin lines. But if you want a thicker line and want to layer the liner, it’s not possible as the liner starts to flake on layering. The consistency of the liner is very runny. It takes a lot of time to dry. On a single drop of water these liners wash away leaving only the glitter behind as in the picture above.
Also, the liners start fading away from the lid within 2 hours.
The shades are very pretty and that’s what lured me to buy these as I just wanted for one particular occasion.
There are a lot of better liners out there in the market and I do not recommend these at all.
