I am a huge huge fan of coffee! I can’t live without it! In fact, my brain doesn’t function without drinking coffee… be it hot or cold! And plus, I loveeeee the smell of coffee! How can someone not love it? It’s intoxicating for me!

Because of this, I had this coffee scrub on my wishlist since long and this is also their bestseller but since The Nature’s Co products are only sold at one place in Delhi, I wasn’t able to get it. And then I got an invite to the store and got this scrub for reviewing!

Our first makeup swap! :)

Our first makeup swap! 🙂

Hey everyone! 🙂

It all started when Khaddu mentioned this casually that maybe we can do a makeup swap and well, we did it! 😀

We both were doing this for the first time and were very excited about it! Basically a makeup swap means two people send each other some surprise stuff within a set budget.

We first set a budget of Rs.2000 and then shared ‘hints’ with each other of what kindof products we want!

I basically wanted products from Indian brands like Lakme, Colorbar. I was having an overdose of Revlons and Maybellines! I also really like Bourjois, she does too 😉 And she mainly wanted Sephoraaa!! 😀

And we both got our wishes!

She’ll be sharing what I sent her soon and I’ll link that post here then 🙂

At first, we were quite scared because the parcel she sent me came back to her 😦 but then she sent it again and I have it with me nowww!!!! I’m so excited seriously!

As soon as I opened the package, there was a candy like scent coming from it! Aahh!! 😛 and also, the package had these cute little colourful bubbles all over. I mean thermocol balls, please excuse me, I’m extremely kiddish that way 😛

Then I started opening it all and here’s what came out! 😀 this post is almost like an unboxing post, as I’m sharing pics and my thoughts exactly as I opened this!

REVIEW: Aaranya rejuvenating face scrub gel – Rose & Germanium.

According to Aaranya,

For all skin type

Specially design scrub with Rose petals, Germanium extract and Walnut granules removes dirt and dead skin cells. Provides hydration and nourishment to the skin besides gentle exfoliation treatment.

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Walnut Granules, Sodium Hydroxide, Carboner, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Rose Petals, Germanium oil, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Allantaion, Disodium EDTA, Aloe Vera Extract, Vitamin E Acetate, Colour and Fragrance.

Price: Rs.210 for 100grams.

Available at a lot of general stores and even newU has started keeping it, even has some of their stuff.

My experience:

I have a big fetish for all things with a rose fragrance and when I received this for reviewing I was elated! Seriously this smells amazing!

The Aaranya face scrub gel comes in a simple flip top cap tube. The tube is transparent and I really like the colourful label! Its cap shuts tightly and this tube is very travel friendly. Such tubes generally are not travel friendly but this one is very sturdy!

The cap dispenses the right amount of product and is very easy and convenient to use.

Talking about the texture of the face scrub, it’s truly a gel with scrub (walnut)particles. It is not at all harsh on skin and can be safely used 3-4 times a week or even daily! The scrubbing particles feel light on skin and yet do work in making skin smooth and soft. I find my skin feels very soft after using this!

This claims to be for all skin types and is true to its claims I feel. It doesn’t give very tall false claims and manages to live true to what it says.

It cleans skin very very well and also the best part is that it doesn’t dry out skin at all. Skin feels hydrated and supple after this. so, dry skinned beauties would not feel dry after using this. but yes it doesn’t control oil or anything but then neither does it claim to!

Talking about the scent, it’s a rose scent and it’s quite strong and everyone might not like the scent. But I really like it 😀 But it’s good that the scent only lingers for a few seconds. I’m not sure how germanium smells like but there is another smell in this too which isn’t bad either.

Another good thing about this is that it doesn’t contain any SLS or parabens.

The quantity is quite good and only a small amount is needed each time so I feel its priced okay according to that but it could have been priced lesser!

Overall, it’s a good mild scrub for regular use and does what it claims very well! It smells of roses and cleans skin very well without drying the skin! It’s great for summers and winters alike! Its also free of harsh chemicals! Recommended!

Why you’ll like it:

1)     Sturdy and travel friendly tube.

2)     Attractive packaging.

3)     Good and easy to use texture.

4)     Mild scrub.

5)     Nice rose scent.

6)     Cleans skin very well.

7)     Not drying in nature.

8)     Free of SLS & parabens

Why you’ll dislike it:

1)     Slightly overpriced.

2)     Strong smell may not be liked by all.

To buy or not to buy?

My favourites – May 2013.

Another monthly favourites post!

This month was a very emotional month! My college farewell took place and it was the last month of college, its kindof hard to accept that college is over! Spent four memorable years here and made amazing friends!

Between all this and my final practicals, project presentation and the extreme heat in Delhi, I hardly used makeup this month and had absolutely no time to try new stuff!
