L’occitane Repairing Mask for dry and damaged hair Review.

I reviewed the shampoo and conditioner from this range last week. You can see that post here. I have been using the shampoo, conditioner since January.

I had read a lot about this mask and when I got samples of this with my shampoo purchases, I was very excited! Each sachet gave me 2-3 uses, I fell in love with it and I really wanted to get the full size mask!

I finally got it in April for $34 😦 😦 too expensive! Read on to see if it was worth it!

L’Occitane Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner Review.

I have very very dry hair and very dry scalp too! And since 7-8 months, I’ve stopped using hair products with sls, parabens etc. It’s been hard to eliminate these stuff completely but I try to avoid as much as I can. Also, I got some serious scalp problem around November-December last year that I’ll share with you in another post. But for this problem, I underwent a sort of treatment and after that I was supposed to use their prescribed products or other chemical free products.

I wanted to try L’occitane hair products since quite a long time. But as we all know, they are super expensive 😛  but I finally bought travel size bottles of the shampoo and conditioner last year before going to Chicago and I loved them! And also, by chance once I saw this coupon thingy on their US facebook page which had a coupon that you can redeem in any US store for a free set of travel size aromachologie repairing shampoo and conditioner. And ofcourse I got them 😛

Kérastase’s launches 1st Advanced Scalp & Hair Concentrate

24 years of Stem Cell Research brings INITIALISTE; Kérastase’s 1st Advanced Scalp & Hair Concentrate

initialiste ouvert pipett copie

Kérastase introduces INITIALISTE, a revolutionary hair care product that works on your hair to make it healthier, stronger and more beautiful every day.

At the heart of INITIALISTE, the Regenerative Complex protects stem cell environment, thus improving the hair quality at its source. This exceptional formula, developed like a skin serum, contains powerful active ingredients which optimize the follicular regenerative capacity for beautiful hair that is stronger, shinier and fuller:

1. Mallus Domestica, native plant cells taken from a millenary known apple species are known for their ability to fight against ageing in human tissues and to optimize the environment of stem cells, thus maintaining their regenerating power.

2. Aqueous green tea leaf extract: Enriched with polyphenols to protect the stem cells’ environment from pollution, UV rays and oxidative stress.

3. Glucolipids (SP94) that acts on the external hair sheath, where the two stem cells’ reservoirs are. The lipid component consolidates the structure of the follicle’s external sheath. The “Gluco” component is an energy reserve that enhances the cell metabolism and enables the growth of healthy hair. The hair becomes stronger and more resistant to breakage.

4. Ceramides imitate the natural hair components, and strengthen the resistance and cohesion of the capillary fibre. Improves hair quality and texture.

With INITIALISTE Fundamental Concentrate, Kérastase has created a new universal beauty Ritual for both in-salon use and at home, to keep hair beautiful for a long time.

How to use the product in four easy steps

Step 1– Bathe – Use a shampoo that suits your hair type.

Step 2 – Treat – Wash off the shampoo and apply a conditioner/masque to lock in the natural oils of the scalp.

The new 3rd Step  – ‘Regenerate’ – The INITIALISTE serum completes the process by adding a new step i.e. “Regenerate” to the regime, for stimulating the growth of radiant healthy hair. INITIALISTE is a leave-in product that is applied on towel-dried hair, directly on the scalp, just before styling. Take one to two pipettes, depending upon the thickness of the hair and gently massage with finger tips to spread the product evenly across the scalp.

Step 4 – Texturize –

Apply your regular styling product (as recommended)

to get lustrous beautiful hair.

Initialiste (60ml) will be available across all Kérastase Salons from August 2013 onwards. MRP: INR 4200

Jad se Judein by L’Oreal Paris Fall repair 3X.

After the launch of the Go Back In Time video that I shared with you all here, L’Oreal Paris is presenting us a heartwarming song called ‘Jad Se Judein’ sung by none other than Mohit Chauhan for the L’Oreal Paris Fall Repair 3X ‘Stay Rooted’ campaign.

The video is the story of 3 people – a student in search of her teacher, a granddaughter who makes a small and simple sacrifice for her grandmother and 2 friends who reconnect at a place they call their own.

The Jad Se Judein song takes you back to your roots and makes you remember that person who shaped you, those in your life who had a role in making you who you are today – but those who’ve unfortunately been forgotten today.

We hope that you’ll go back in time and reconnect with them. We hope that you’ll “STAY ROOTED”

Here’s the link to the Jad Se Judein video http://bit.ly/JadSeJudein

So, how do you like the video? 🙂

My ramblings | New launches on Purplle.com

Hello everyone 🙂

How’s the week going? My week started off with a haul, coming up in the next post 😀

I just got to know about the new launches on Purplle.com and  I was too excited to “not share” this with you 😀

P.S. I haven’t been asked by Purplle.com or being paid for this post!

Purplle.com is now stocking a few Avon and Oriflame products. I couldn’t spot any cosmetics in the Oriflame section but it’s a start I guess:P

Okay, more important than Avon and Oriflame, they now have stuff by Organix!!!!

Which means the raved about Moroccan oil and Macadamia oil hair masks are now available there! I’m so excited 😀 I’ve read a lot about these and really wanted to try them but I am not aware if they’re sold anywhere else in Delhi atleast. Even if they are, I’m really not aware of it and hence my excitement 😀 seriously I’ve just seen these and really excited, so sorry if these aren’t new to you all 😀

For someone like me who has terribly dry hair, these would be great, right? *ordering one right now*

But I’m confused which one to order, won’t order both at once ofcourse!

Any suggestions guys? Have you used these hair masks?

My battle with dandruff.

I have suffered from dandruff ever since I can remember. Till a few years back, my scalp was relatively oily and I had the sticky kindof dandruff and for the last few years my scalp and hair have turned very dry and the dandruff also had become very flaky kinds.

Today I can say I am rid of dandruff to an extent. Since one month I can see almost negligible dandruff in my scalp and I have never been happier.

I do not claim to be an expert on curing dandruff (had I been an expert, I wouldn’t have struggled with it for so long), but here I am just sharing with you all my experience with various products I have used and a few tips from my experience.
