NOTW: Pink Glitter ♥

DSC01084

I had lot of work this week and to add some fun into my otherwise boring life (Sigh!! 😦 ), I painted my nails with this fun shade last Sunday.

The nail paint is – Nail Juice #81 – Pink Glitter.

I really like Nail Juice nail paints as they’re cheap (50 bucks) and you get quite a decent quantity and quality. Plus they have a lot of shades! I applied this nail paint on Sunday and took these pictures on Wednesday and as you can see there is almost no chipping.

This shade is a gorgeous pink with slight coral undertones and lots of silver shimmer glitter. I love such bright pinks. I have used 3 coats to get this intensity. The glitter in it is a bit gritty but I think a top coat would solve that problem. I haven’t used any top coat here. This shade needs at least 2-3 coats to go opaque, I’ve used 3 coats here.

The shine of these nail paints remains almost same till 4-5 days. They also chip by then at the edges.

I really recommend these nail paints to all school and college students and all those who are on a tight budget or just those who don’t like spending too much on a nail paint(like me:P).

Have a happy weekend 🙂

NOTW: Sunset in a bottle.

I’ve been looking for a perfect orange nail polish since quite some time. I am eyeing Faces Persimmon or Bourjois Tangerine Fatal, both are gorgeous colours and I know I’ll end up buying both, I had bought three similar mint nail paints in the mint craze.
Meanwhile, I found this old Elle 18 no.50 nail paint in my makeup stash. It was quite dried out. After diluting it with some makeup remover and leaving it for some time, it was a bit ready to use or so I thought.
It had kind of differentiated itself into layers of shades of orange and looked just like a sunset and hence the title. Sadly, I could not quite capture how pretty it was looking in the bottle as I mixed it for using it. I thought it will again settle down to the sunset after being still for some time but it didn’t L

Saturday NOTW: Maybelline Pastels

I generally keep the same nail paint on my nails for a week, unless I get bored with it before that or there’s some occasion that demands something in particular.
So, I’ve decided that I would share my NOTW(nails of the week) with you every weekend.
Lately I’ve been madly in love with pastels and Maybelline being my favourite brand, I bought these two new shades from their Colorama range recently.
I had a presentation on Wednesday and so put this soft pink polish.
Maybelline Colorama Astral.
Price: INR 100.

It’s a totally pastel baby pink colour. Its quite sheer and needs atleast 2-3 coats.

Later, I felt like adding something more to my nails as they were looking too plain. At first I thought of adding a glittery accent nail. But then put this cute mint one.

Its Maybelline Colorama Absinto.
Price : INR 100.

This is an absolute delight to use. Perfect mint nail polish and don’t we all love mint J
It even has a little glitter/shimmer in it. J
My favourite nail paint EVER!!!!!
And I’m also really liking the accent nail trend J it instantly adds a whole lot of charm J

p.s.
the nail paint was applied a bit messily by me 😦 my bad !!
