The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish Review.

I’ve wanted to try a body polish from The Body Shop since a very long time but somehow never got around to buying it. I’d heard so much good stuff about this body polish and now that I’ve finally tried it I’ll share my experience with you guys 😀

I got this body polish in my Black Friday TBS Tote bag that I showed you here. The bag had some amazing goodies and this is one of them 😀

Okay, one confession, you all know I’m such a big TBS fan BUT I had never smelled their ‘Satsuma’ flavor before! 😮

No, I’m not joking! I had seen and read about the Satsuma stuff, but though I am fond of oranges, I always thought it’s just a simple orange smell, there won’t be anything special about it. I preferred to choose the strawberries, chocolates over orange 😀

So, when I got this body polish in Satsuma, my first thought was, it would have been better if I had got it in Strawberry 😛

But then the story changed completely when I opened the lid and the smell hit me.

Oh My God!! This stuff smells completely utterly delicious!

NOTW: Sunset in a bottle.

I’ve been looking for a perfect orange nail polish since quite some time. I am eyeing Faces Persimmon or Bourjois Tangerine Fatal, both are gorgeous colours and I know I’ll end up buying both, I had bought three similar mint nail paints in the mint craze.
Meanwhile, I found this old Elle 18 no.50 nail paint in my makeup stash. It was quite dried out. After diluting it with some makeup remover and leaving it for some time, it was a bit ready to use or so I thought.
It had kind of differentiated itself into layers of shades of orange and looked just like a sunset and hence the title. Sadly, I could not quite capture how pretty it was looking in the bottle as I mixed it for using it. I thought it will again settle down to the sunset after being still for some time but it didn’t L

Review : Fabindia Bitter orange facial spray

Fabindia bitter orange facial spray.

(image from fabindia website)

I bought this facial spray some time back in August.

It’s basically a face mist and well, I’m in love with it so much so that I keep spraying it on my face all the time.

According to Fabindia’s website,

Made with bitter orange essential oil, this facial spray has a cooling effect that instantly rejuvenates and refreshes you.

Purified Water, Polysorbate 20, Glycerine, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Bitter Orange Essential Oil.

Price: INR 150 for 50ml.

It has a shelf life of 1.5 yrs but I’m sure you will finish it much much before that.

Available at all Fabindia stores and online at most of the e-shopping stores.

My experience:

It comes in a very cute spray bottle and I’ll admit initially I bought it only for the bottle 😛

It’s a light orange coloured liquid and the spray dispenses just the right amount in 1 spray.

I use this product in 2 ways –

1) Spraying some on a cotton ball and dabbing it on the face and neck.
2) Holding the bottle about 10-15cm from my face and spraying it. Aah the feeling! J

This spray instantly refreshes me, true to its claims. It has a cooling effect. I use it at about any time of the day and besides making me feel fresh, it also gives the skin a kindof dewy feel and look.

It also has a delicious fragrance. I can smell fresh oranges in this. I keep spraying it on my face just for the smell. Hehe. And I feel that its fragrance is not at all synthetic like some other products.

So, if you like oranges then this is a must buy for you.

One of its major con is that it should not be used when you’re out in the sun.

I read this here.- Phototoxic, do NOT apply before exposure to sun or tanning beds. Avoid in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Because of this, I use this only when I’m at home.

Also, this spray tastes bitter, but well they’ve told us that in the name itself. So try not to let it get into your mouth even by mistake. It went into my mouth once and well eeewww, I just spat it our instantly.

But overall this is a wondeful product, for me it even does the job of cheering me up because of its lovely fragrance.

I feel like a happy child with a new toy when I spray it on my face and the heavenly fragrance surrounds me. J

I looked up bitter orange essential oil on google and found these links-

Hope they’re useful .

Why you’ll like it-

1) It has an instant cooling effect.
2) It smells of fresh oranges.
3) It is very refreshing to use after a tiring day.
4) Very convenient packaging. Can be carried around easily in a handbag.
5) The spray bottle is of great quality and can be reused later.

Why you’ll dislike it-

1) It’s a little pricey.
2) It cannot be used when out in the sun.
3) It has a bitter taste.

To buy or not to buy?

Definitely buy!! I would totally recommend it to everyone. You’ll love it J
