Simple micellar water

You know the feeling, when at the end of a long, hectic day you can come to a warm comfortable bed and just cozy in with piping hot food and an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, but right when you’re about to doze off you remember you didn’t take off your makeup! * insert music of dreams crashing down * Yeah, that’s the feeling I’m talking about.

I have such days very often, I think around 3 days every week I’m too lazy to clean my face properly before bed.

So when I came across the concept of micellar waters, I was very excited to try them out. I couldn’t get my hands on the Bioderma one at a reasonable price, and the Garnier one wasn’t easily available near me. So I was ecstatic when I found this one by Simple at just around $5. Continue reading

Another month over! Phew! This was a fun month for me and also a month which has taken a few major decisions of my life. I’ll share them with you once they’re finalized 🙂

I am sorry for not being regular since some time, my laptop was giving me major trouble and it finally crashed on Friday 😦 All my data is in it so can’t post anything right now, thankfully I had already completed this post and it was in the drafts to be posted at the end of the month!

I had a lotttt of favourites this month, as you can see!

Earth Day Celebrations by The Body Shop!

Hello everyone 🙂 how’s your week going? I had a wonderful start with The Body Shop’s event yesterday. It was held at their store at Select Citywalk mall, Saket.

The Body Shop started their Wood Positive movement last year on Earth Day and to celebrate one year of this successful movement they had this amazing event for bloggers. The movement aims to restore fragile habitats and regenerate land back to its true form to protect the environment in the long term.

It was a super fun event with a lot of activities, food and gifts 😀

I was quite late because I had college and when I reached the store was really crowded!

The whole store was decorated with green and white! Even we were asked to dress in green and/or white for the event! The decorations were AMAZING, I loved them 🙂

In the centre the display was arranged on a grassy area. It looked really good. There were free makeovers and hand massages for everyone. The hand massage was being done with the recently launched Absinthe collection and it smells just too good 🙂 So fresh and natural 🙂

DSC020281

There was also a pledge writing area. We could write our pledge for helping Earth and stick it in the pot!

DSC020141

The food too was all green and white and it tasted as delicious as it looks ! 🙂

We were given this gift kit at the end, which has the body butter, body wash, body scrub from the Olive range and a bath lily.

It also had this photo cookie which tasted amaziingg 🙂

DSC02042

The whole event was super fun 🙂  absolutely loved it 🙂 even better than everything was the fact that the TBS people as well as the PR ones were super warm and made the event great !

After the event, my sister and I shopped a bit. I finally bought my first foundation, The body shop’s extra virgin minerals cream compact which I spoke about here!

DSC02036

Ritu had suggested me the Revlon photoready cream compact n it looked lovely but none of the shades matched me 😦

I also got the Colorbar primer!

So all in all, a great day 🙂

REVIEW,SWATCHES: Lakme Eyeconic Kajal.

DSC01379

Lakme eyeconic kajal.

According to Lakme,

The new Eyeconic Kajal by Lakmé is literally iconic as all you need is one sweep of kajal and it lasts for 10 hours. The product is waterproof, it doesn’t smudge and it is even safe for the eyes since it is dermatologist tested. The Eyeconic kajal and mascara by Lakmé forms the perfect combination in creating a look that is sure to get you noticed!  You can now transform your look from drab to fab with just a little kajal and a hint of some mascara.

Price: INR 199/-

Available at Lakme counters, most general stores, online stores.

My experience:

I had bought this kajal 2 months back but got around to using it regularly just since the last 2 weeks. And to be honest I did not have any expectations from this since it’s similar to Maybelline Colossal and I had never liked that one but I am in love with Eyeconic 😀

I have never really liked retractable/twist up pencils. I like the traditional sharpenable pencils mainly because they’re more hygienic and I can apply as much pressure on them without breaking unlike retractable pencils. Now Lakme eyeconic has changed my view, I guess my bad experiences with retractable pencils were just because I chose the wrong pencils in the past. But for me, they were always prone to breakage, tugged on my eye and became blunt after a few usages. Eyconic is none of these!

Price: INR 250 for 10g.

Available at all Maybelline counters.

My experience:

Okay, one confession – I am obsessed with this BB stick! And I became obsessed with this even before I had it with me. Suddenly, the BB stick was all over the internet since the past few weeks. I bought it last week, as you saw here. There’s a little story behind it. I told my friend I really want it, and told her to buy it for me if she finds it anywhere instantly. She ordered it on medplusbeauty and before it arrived I spotted it in a store and couldn’t resist myself and purchased it and the medplus order just came the next day. So, in short I got two of these 😛 and boy, am I glad? 😀

DSC01188

I’ve been using it for a week now and am here to review it today. You read my review on the Garnier BB cream here and once I finished the small tube I purchased the Maybelline BB cream and just when I was about to review it, this stick came out and as many people were asking to review this, I decided to review the stick first. I will also do a comparison post for you all soon.

Why am I rambling so much today!!! Okay, on with the review!

QUICK REVIEW, SWATCHES: Colorlab liquid eyeliner.

DSC01062

I had bought these Colorlab liquid eyeliners more than 2 years back. At that time I had never used any liquid eyeliner and for a cousin’s wedding, I bought these pocket friendly eyeliners. They come in a lot of shades and are packaged like a nail paint.

PicMonkey Collage

These liquid eyeliners used to retail for INR50-60 when I had bought them 2 years back.

The brush is very thin and good for making thin lines. But if you want a thicker line and want to layer the liner, it’s not possible as the liner starts to flake on layering. The consistency of the liner is very runny. It takes a lot of time to dry. On a single drop of water these liners wash away leaving only the glitter behind as in the picture above.

PicMonkey Collage3

Also, the liners start fading away from the lid within 2 hours.

The shades are very pretty and that’s what lured me to buy these as I just wanted for one particular occasion.

PicMonkey Collageb

There are a lot of better liners out there in the market and I do not recommend these at all.
