Five Friday Favourites #3

Hey everyone!

DSC0360134

Eid Mubaarak to all of you! 🙂 how are you celebrating Eid? We have very close family friends who are Muslim and throw a huge party for Eid everytime and sadly we couldn’t go this time and aahh.. I’m already missing the chicken biryani 😦

I know I’ve been very inactive of late and so sorry I haven’t been able to reply to all comments. I’ll be even more inactive next week onwards; I have a few posts timed for publishing in my drafts but I didn’t want to miss the Five Friday Favourites and here I am 😀

DSC036012

So, first up is The Body Shop Coconut Hair oil ~ my hair is going through a very bad phase; the rain is making it even frizzier and worse! 😦 this oil is giving my hair all the extra love it needs! Initially I had a lot of samples of this oil but I finally purchased the full bottle last week and I’m loving this oil much more than my normal hair oil!

Revlon lip butter in Sorbet ~ I really really love Revlon lip butters and this new shade is a gorgeous bright pink. It really makes my face look very bright and pretty! Love!

The Body Shop Vanilla body mist ~ I have always had a soft spot for all things vanilla and recently this mist has made a comeback in my favourite scents! I just wish it were travel friendly! Full review here.

MAC Technakohl Graphblack ~ I had this on my wishlist forever as I’d read amazing reviews for its good staying power on the waterline and I’m someone who’s always on the lookout for something that stays long on my waterline. Though my all time favourite for the waterline is the Lakme kohl ultimate but I’m loving this one at the moment!

Lakme CC Cream ~ this gives a good natural semi-matte finish and reduces redness very well! I’m definitely enjoying using this a lot!

So, that’s it for this week!

I would love to know your favourites so do share them in the comments below! 🙂

See you! Have a great weekend!

Our first makeup swap! :)

Our first makeup swap! 🙂

Hey everyone! 🙂

It all started when Khaddu mentioned this casually that maybe we can do a makeup swap and well, we did it! 😀

We both were doing this for the first time and were very excited about it! Basically a makeup swap means two people send each other some surprise stuff within a set budget.

We first set a budget of Rs.2000 and then shared ‘hints’ with each other of what kindof products we want!

I basically wanted products from Indian brands like Lakme, Colorbar. I was having an overdose of Revlons and Maybellines! I also really like Bourjois, she does too 😉 And she mainly wanted Sephoraaa!! 😀

And we both got our wishes!

She’ll be sharing what I sent her soon and I’ll link that post here then 🙂

At first, we were quite scared because the parcel she sent me came back to her 😦 but then she sent it again and I have it with me nowww!!!! I’m so excited seriously!

DSC03549

As soon as I opened the package, there was a candy like scent coming from it! Aahh!! 😛 and also, the package had these cute little colourful bubbles all over. I mean thermocol balls, please excuse me, I’m extremely kiddish that way 😛

Then I started opening it all and here’s what came out! 😀 this post is almost like an unboxing post, as I’m sharing pics and my thoughts exactly as I opened this!

Five Friday Favourites #2

Hey everyone!

DSC034141bh

I am really sorry I haven’t been regular since some time; I am really caught up in a lot of stuff! But I promise I’ll be back with regular posts soon!

Today, I am back with this week’s edition of Five Friday Favourites 🙂 I had quite a busy week and the weather was overly humid so didn’t wear a lot of makeup!

I loved these five things this week and sharing them with you all here –

DSC034141

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips talk lipstick. I won this in Cynthia’s giveaway last month and received it last week! Ah just look at the pretty thing! It is so gorgeous. Since I’m in a huge coral phase at the moment, I chose a coral shade. It’s a very pretty shade, it kindof washes me out but I top it with some different coloured gloss and it remains coral but becomes prettier!!! Loving it 🙂

L’Occitane Pivoine Flora lip shine in shade Peche Farandole. I picked this up in the recent 50%off sale at L’Occitane and I absolutely love it! It’s an amazing lip gloss and the shade is just my kindof everyday shade! Do check out the sale, they still have a lot of stuff in stock online!

Next the Forever 21 jewellery; I got them last to last week I think! The smaller one is a bracelet and I bought it for… wait for it… Rs.99!! Yes, without any sale! And the other is a neckpiece and I got it for 179 bucks! Aren’t the prices insanely amazing?!!! I love the new F21 store at Saket! 😀

Lakme Kohl Ultimate. I try so many kohls all the time but I keep coming back to this! I’ve been using it since a year now and it would have gotten over by now had I used only this, but I keep switching with others and so this is still a little more than half left. I love it and always will! You can read my full review on it here.

The Face Shop Hand Cream. I have been stopping myself to buy one of these since Sephora opened up in Delhi first! On my last visit I just couldn’t resist myself and finally indulged!! Isn’t this the most adorable thing ever? Awww… ❤ and it smells really nice too!

Have you used any of these? Do you like them? And what were your favourites this week? Do share your views in the comments below!

Love you all!

And, don’t forget to send in your entries for the contest going on my blog to win a Flipkart coupon!!!

Change of season calls for a change of spirit and as the monsoon spells ignite your senses, it’s time to flash the diva look with some bright colours, not only on your nails but also in your hair. So this season don’t just restrict yourself to the usual manicure and hair care but step into your nearest Lakmé Salon to add a dash of colour with funky hair extensions and nail art.

Apprehensive about donning permanent hair colour? Brighten your look with eye-catching, hip, coloured real hair extensions and sport them in different styles. These premium hair extensions are available in three different colours- dynamic red, radiant blue and ecstatic purple and can be tonged, ironed or just left as it blends perfectly with the natural hair.

These extensions are plied onto your hair through a couple of strands and stay for atleast 2-3 months, till your hair grows out. This hassle free, non-cumbersome procedure allows you to get the extension fixed in a matter of seconds. So if you want to save yourself from the ordeal of bleaching your hair, choose from the vibrant array of colours to add that extra wow factor or may be mix up two different highlights and still hop out of the salon in a jiffy.

This monsoon let your nails do the talking and let your fingertips make a style statement. So if you are bored of those plain, boring nail colours then it’s time to paint the town red with these chic and trendy nail arts.

image008

Jazz up your nails with rainbows, clouds, colourful designs of umbrellas, watermelons, grapes or any of your favourite fruit of the season. If this doesn’t excite you then don those neon pinks, oranges, fluorescent greens, yellows, funky peaches and plums and style them with different accessories like stones, piercings, stickers and glitters! To beat the monsoon gloominess you can even opt for light pastel shades with contemporary designs and marble finish.

So hop into your nearest Lakmé Salon to get the new coloured hair extensions and funky nail art and step out in style!

Five Friday Favourites.

DSC033121

Hello everyone!

I’m really sorry for being MIA with a proper post since some time now! I have been keeping very busy and also was unwell this week 😦

I’ve started thinking that my monthly favourites posts don’t make sense; I feel so because I’m someone who’s quite fickle minded, I can love something immensely and then jump to a new favourite and completely forget the first thing, just in a day! And that’s why whenever I did monthly favourites posts, they turned out to be with a large number of stuff! So, this is a new feature I’m starting today. In this I’ll share 5 products every Friday, these products will be those that I loved the most that week! I’ll try my best to do this post every Friday! 🙂

Although this week I was unwell most of the time, but being unwell means I’m at home all day and so I generally doll myself up with random stuff 😛

So my five favourites this week were –

DSC033141

The Face Shop You Make Me Glam lip gloss. I got this from Sephora last week and have loved it since then. It’s a semi-sheer gloss with a lovely fragrance. 🙂

Aaranya face scrub gel. Its scent is amazing and also refreshes the face very well. I got it as a PR sample and will review it for you all super soon! 😀

Lakme lip love conditioner – flirt. I have this since over a year but as I told you above, I usually forget stuff when I find new favourites. This tinted lip balm has taken its position as my favourite again these days 😛 it’s just so cute and smells amazing ❤

Sephora EDT in Orange Blossom. Amazing scent!!!!!! Its floral as well as fruity! My favourite kindof scents 🙂

Revlon brown gel liner. This too is old now but I had forgotten it 😛 using it these days to judge it better and review it for you all! Till now, I love it! Its soft and creamy and a lovely shade of brown!

Actually I always love good scented makeup products but when I’m unwell I am drawn to them even more as the medicines make me feel grumpy and all these fragrances make me feel so good! 😛

I’ll definitely review all these products for you soon.

Hope you have a great weekend!

And do share your favourites from this week with me in the comments below! 🙂

My favourites – May 2013.

Another monthly favourites post!

This month was a very emotional month! My college farewell took place and it was the last month of college, its kindof hard to accept that college is over! Spent four memorable years here and made amazing friends!

Between all this and my final practicals, project presentation and the extreme heat in Delhi, I hardly used makeup this month and had absolutely no time to try new stuff!
