On My Nails ~ Some coral sand & some bling.

Hello everyone!

How many ages has it been that I shared with you what’s on my nails? 😦

To be honest, in these past 3-4months since my last On My Nails post, I’ve hardly had anything on my nails. Yes its true, the same girl who used to change her nail paint every week, sometimes even twice a week, has been living with bare nails for almost 3 months! Sigh! I put nail paint 2 times to be exact and both times I felt so blaahhh about it, I never thought about posting them here!

Another monthly favourites post!

This month was a very emotional month! My college farewell took place and it was the last month of college, its kindof hard to accept that college is over! Spent four memorable years here and made amazing friends!

Between all this and my final practicals, project presentation and the extreme heat in Delhi, I hardly used makeup this month and had absolutely no time to try new stuff!

On my nails – Juicy Orange.

I have a huge soft corner in my heart for Nail Juice nail paints. They’re super affordable and have a great colour range and are easily available around my place and last well till I get bored of them without chipping. What else do you need? 😀

Today I have this shade #60 – juicy orange on my nails. It’s a pretty yellowy-orange shade.

I’m not in love with the shade but it’s a nice summery shade! 🙂

My first may haul :D

I mentioned about this haul in the previous post!

This haul wasn’t planned at all but I’m loving everything I bought yesterday 🙂

I was at DLF promenade with my sister and we wanted to buy something for our mom for Mother’s day and in turn bought stuff for ourselves too 😛

We got the Inglot slim gel lipstick in shade#58 for mom. It’s a gorgeous dark red shade, I’ll swatch it for you guys soon 🙂

I also for a freedom system concealer refill for myself. Its cost is Rs.250 but right now it’s on 30% discount.

Then I checked out the MAC Archie collection! I badly wanted the Kiss & don’t tell lipglass(Rs.1100) and imagine my luck when I found that shade is still in stock BUT I didn’t buy it! I just walked out of the store leaving the lipglass and the petrol blue liner, the most gorgeous two things ever! 😦 self-control its called!

To make myself feel better, I went to newU to check out lipglosses in other brands to see if I can find any similar to kiss& don’t tell. And I bought two lip glosses-

Colorbar Tru gloss in shade Radiant Pink. (Rs.495)

Lakme absolute lip gloss in shade Candy shine.(Rs.450)

I felt so good later that I bought 2 glosses with money less than one MAC gloss. 😀 Thank God I resisted myself at the MAC store.

I also got a newU nail paint(Rs.50) and the Palmolive thermal spa body wash(Rs.125), I’ve read so many people raving about this, I just had to try it.

And finally! Oh yes, I got the Forest Essentials lip balm(Rs.495). Because it’s got the most awesome packaging in the world! I won’t show you more pictures right now, wait for the review 😀

And let me tell you how the Forest Essentials people pack your shopping. They took a piece of butter paper, sprayed it with perfume, and wrapped this tiny lip balm box in that paper. Then put it in their FE paper bag and sprinkled flower petals in the bag. That bag smells so heavenly I can’t tell you 🙂 This was my first brush with the brand and I’m in love with Forest Essentials! Would definitely be going back for more stuff! 🙂

On my nails – O.P.I Kiss me on my tulips.

O.P.I. Kiss me on my tulips is a beautiful blue-toned bright pink. I adoreee such pinks 🙂

I got this O.P.I. mini nail paint in my January vellvette box. The full size nail paint retails for Rs.520/- and can be bought on many online stores.

The formula of the nail paint is creamy and what I love about it the most is that it doesn’t streak at all!!! In the pictures above, I’ve only applied 1 coat and as you can see it gives full opacity. These pictures were taken after 2 days and it chipped a little 😦

But overall, it’s a lovely nail paint. 😛

NOTW: Pink Glitter ♥

I had lot of work this week and to add some fun into my otherwise boring life (Sigh!! 😦 ), I painted my nails with this fun shade last Sunday.

The nail paint is – Nail Juice #81 – Pink Glitter.

I really like Nail Juice nail paints as they’re cheap (50 bucks) and you get quite a decent quantity and quality. Plus they have a lot of shades! I applied this nail paint on Sunday and took these pictures on Wednesday and as you can see there is almost no chipping.

This shade is a gorgeous pink with slight coral undertones and lots of silver shimmer glitter. I love such bright pinks. I have used 3 coats to get this intensity. The glitter in it is a bit gritty but I think a top coat would solve that problem. I haven’t used any top coat here. This shade needs at least 2-3 coats to go opaque, I’ve used 3 coats here.

The shine of these nail paints remains almost same till 4-5 days. They also chip by then at the edges.

I really recommend these nail paints to all school and college students and all those who are on a tight budget or just those who don’t like spending too much on a nail paint(like me:P).

Have a happy weekend 🙂
